POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Authorities have identified a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting that they said occurred outside a McDonald’s in Pompano Beach last month.

According to deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Clarence Flournory, 40, is facing one count of first-degree murder with a firearm, attempted first degree murder with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a career violent defender.

Deputies said 911 dispatchers received reports of a shooting around 7:30 p.m. at McDonald’s, located near the 600 block of West Sample Road on Nov. 25.

Deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue arrived to find a man, identified as Tyrone Holton, 52, with a gunshot wound.

Authorities said Holton was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

They said a second gunshot victim, who deputies identified as Derek Floyd, was also taken to a nearby hospital by another individual.

Investigators said BSO homicide detectives identified Flournory as a suspect, and he confessed to the murder after his arrest.

As of Wednesday, he was being held without bond at the Broward Main Jail.
