MIAMI — Miami kicked off the holiday season Thursday night with its annual tree-lighting and holiday festival, a community tradition that draws residents and visitors each year.
The event’s focal point was a 25-foot Christmas tree decorated with hundreds of lights and ornaments. Applause filled the area as the tree was illuminated, marking the start of the city’s seasonal celebrations.
The festival featured food vendors, family-friendly activities and appearances by Santa Claus and Mickey Mouse, offering attractions for attendees of all ages.
