MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Two people were taken to the hospital Friday after a shooting in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene in the 3100 block of Northwest 28th Street following reports of shots fired.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue confirmed it transported two patients with gunshot wounds to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

Deputies have not released details on what led to the shooting or the conditions of the victims.

The investigation is ongoing.
