POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — A 25-year-old woman is facing an aggravated battery charge after Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies said she threw poultry at a person during an argument, then pulled a knife on her.
According to BSO, the incident happened just after 10 p.m. on Thursday in the 900 block of Northwest Eighth Avenue in Pompano Beach.
Deputies said Jameisha Tashay Wallace “threw a piece of chicken in the victim’s face” amid a verbal argument, “leading to a physical fight.”
A BSO arrest report doesn’t specify whether the chicken was raw or cooked.
Wallace then went upstairs to her apartment and grabbed a kitchen knife, pointed at the woman and moved it toward her hand, “making contact,” the report states.
It did not cause a cut, however.
Wallace, deputies said, claimed she had been “jumped.”
But deputies said she was the primary aggressor and arrested her on the aggravated battery charge despite the victim saying she did not wish to prosecute, according to the report.
As of Friday, Wallace remained in the North Broward Bureau jail facility in Pompano Beach on a $4,000 bond.
