Hundreds of families and even a few Miami Heat legends came out to pound the pavement for a purpose, helping to raise money for a great cause.

Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelsta was there with other members of the Heat coaching staff, along with some Miami Heat players and legends taking part as well, including Bam Adebayo, Alonzo Mourning, and several others

The event brought the community together for a morning of fitness, fun, and philanthropy, welcoming everyone from avid athletes to casual runners, and loyal Heat fans, all to raise money for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and the Miami Heat Charitable Fund.

“It’s great, it’s really fun,” said Barbie Espejo, a former Nicklaus patient who received treatment after being diagnosed with Leukemia. “I think it’s a great idea especially for the kids in the hospital. They collect a lot of funds not only for the Miami Heat but also for the kids, it’s incredible.”
