DAVIE. Fla. — A domestic violence incident in Davie sent a mother and child to the hospital on Wednesday, according to police.

Sky 10 flew over the scene just after noon as officers with the Davie Police Department continued surveying the area near the 8200 block of Griffin Road.

Davie police said the incident began inside a vehicle.

They said the suspect has been identified, and confirmed that there is no threat to the public.

The mother and child, who weren’t identified, were taken to a nearby hospital to be evaluated out of an abundance of caution, according to investigators.

No other details were immediately released.
