PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — Younger generations are increasingly favoring money or digital gifts over traditional presents, according to a new Wells Fargo survey.

The survey found that 45% of Gen Z and 42% of millennials prefer receiving digital payments or gift cards, compared with 20% of Gen X and 10% of baby boomers, who are more likely to favor traditional gifts.

The results highlight shifting attitudes toward gift-giving, with younger recipients prioritizing convenience and flexibility, while older generations value the personal touch of unwrapping a physical item.
