Motorcyclist killed in Davie crash, police say A motorcyclist was killed early Friday morning in a crash in Davie, police confirmed.

DAVIE, Fla. — A motorcyclist was killed early Friday morning in a crash in Davie, police confirmed.

Officers with the Davie Police Department said they responded to the 4600 block of South University Drive, where the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Traffic detectives were called in to investigate.

Local 10’s Jolena Esperto reported from the scene, where officers were examining a mangled motorcycle that appeared to be involved in the crash. It is unclear whether another vehicle was involved.

The crash occurred on University Drive north of Griffin Road. All lanes were closed as of 6:37 a.m. while the investigation continued.

No other details about the motorcyclist or circumstances surrounding the crash were immediately released.
