Foul play suspected after woman found dead on Hollywood Beach

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Hollywood police are investigating the death of a woman who they said was found Friday morning on Cleveland Street at Hollywood Beach.

Officers and Hollywood Fire Rescue said they responded shortly after 7 a.m. after a passerby noticed the victim. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives have identified the woman and are working to notify her next of kin before releasing her identity.

They said foul play is suspected in the case.

Police also confirmed that a person of interest has been identified, and investigators believe the parties involved are known to one another. Authorities say there is no indication of a broader threat to the community.
