HIALEAH, Fla. — Police say they busted two men repeatedly stealing mail from a Hialeah apartment building ― including on Christmas Day ― as the duo came back to steal even more mail early Tuesday morning.

Thervil Alcinor, 45, of Miami, and Densom Beaucejour, 33, of northwest Miami-Dade, now each face two felonies.

Police said investigators from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service reviewed camera footage showing the duo visiting the building, located at 1095 W. 68th St., six times starting on Dec. 21.

Authorities said Alcinor and Beaucejour had a master key allowing them to break into the building’s cluster mailboxes.

An arrest report states that just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Hialeah police and USPIS investigators conducted a “joint enforcement operation” in which they apprehended the pair “while actively attempting to steal mail in furtherance of an ongoing scheme.”

Police said they recovered a master key and said the men had “handwritten ledgers listing multiple residential addresses within the city of Hialeah, along with corresponding mailbox numbers designated for targeting.”

The two now face charges of organized scheme to defraud and organized scheme to defraud conspiracy in Miami-Dade court. It wasn’t immediately clear as of Tuesday whether the pair would also face federal charges.

Jail records show both men submitted $5,000 bonds as of Tuesday afternoon.
