FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Several vehicles were involved in a crash on a busy Broward County roadway.

It happened along the eastbound lanes of State Road 84, just east of Interstate 95, at around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

A large tractor-trailer was among the vehicles involved in the crash.

Six people were injured in the crash, four of which were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries considered minor, according to rescue officials.

The closure of the heavily-traveled road greatly impacted traffic in the area.

An investigation is ongoing into the circumstances that led up to the crash.
