Man arrested in connection with shooting near Oakland Park gas station

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. — A suspect was arrested Thursday in connection with a shooting that left one person injured last year at a gas station in Oakland Park, the Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Local 10 News.

Jail records show Khalid Griffin, 22, faces an attempted murder charge in the case.

According to BSO, the shooting was reported shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 23 near a Mobil gas station located along the 3100 block of North Dixie Highway in Oakland Park.

Responding deputies arrived to the scene to find a man who had been shot.

Paramedics rushed the victim to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries.

A motive for the shooting has not yet been publicly released.

As of Friday morning, Griffin was being held at the Broward County Main Jail without bond.
