NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — A man has died following a freak accident early Friday morning involving a bread-mixing industrial machine at a grocery store in North Miami Beach, authorities confirmed.
According to North Miami Beach police, the accident occurred at about 4 a.m. at the South Florida Kosher Market, located at 1324 NE 163rd St.
Police said the victim was a longtime employee of the business and got caught in a bread-mixing industrial machine.
The victim, who was called a beloved and familiar face at the store, was an older man, possibly in his 70s, authorities said.
Police said there were no signs of foul play and the man’s death is being investigated as an accident.
The victim’s identity is being withheld as police work to contact his next-of-kin.
No other details were immediately released.
