MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Miami Beach, the hosting city for the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, is preparing for thousands of visitors and fans attending weekend events, including the Playoff Fan Central at the city’s Convention Center and the AT&T Playoff Playlist Live concert series.
To keep residents and visitors safe, the Miami Beach Police Department said they will increase staffing with more uniformed patrols, specialized units, and coordinated resources across the city.
They said the enhanced presence aims to improve visibility, response times, and coordination at major venues and busy areas.
Officials said drivers should expect delays and congestion near event sites due to higher pedestrian traffic. They also advise drivers to consider extra travel time and being patient while moving through the city.
MBPD will continue coordinating with city partners, event organizers, and regional agencies to ensure a secure and successful championship weekend.
