BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — A man has died after he was shot Monday night in unincorporated Central Broward, the Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

According to BSO spokeswoman Gerdy St. Louis, the shooting was reported at about 9:42 p.m. near the 2500 block of Northwest Ninth Place.

St. Louis said deputies arrived at the scene to find a man who had been shot.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue then transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later died.

St. Louis said detectives with BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene Units are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.

No other details were immediately released.
