According to an arrest report from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was working an off-duty detail at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens Monday night when he was approached by the victim who pointed out the suspect, who had been “apprehended by fans.”

Deputies said the suspect, Eddie Hudson, who is from The Bronx borough of New York City, approached the victim outside the stadium and told her he could obtain two tickets for her to see the game for $5,000.

Deputies said the victim transferred the money to Hudson via Venmo and Hudson then sent her a fraudulent ticket picture.

According to the report, as the victim was trying to verify the ticket through Ticketmaster, Hudson fled into the crowd.

He was later arrested on a third-degree grand theft charge.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Hudson was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $2,500 bond.
