How to thank U.S. service members? Donate Girl Scout cookies

Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida

It’s Buy One, Get One (BOGO) for a good cause. The Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida is teaming up with Duffy’s Sports Grill for Give a Box, Get a Box. The annual campaign supports Cookies for the Military program.

On Feb. 6th, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., anyone who purchases a box of Girl Scout cookies to donate to service members will receive a free box of their favorite Girl Scout cookies as a thank you for supporting those who serve. Girl Scouts will be at Duffy’s Sports Grill locations throughout Broward, Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie Counties to greet and assist customers with their purchases.

“Our long-standing partnership with Duffy’s Sports Grill has helped us deliver tens of thousands of boxes of cookies to military members since the program began, and we are proud to continue this meaningful tradition,” said Lisa Johnson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida.

Since 2013, more than 45,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies have been donated through the program. The goal this year is to send 2,950 boxes to service members stationed in the U.S. and abroad.

“Give a Box, Get a Box is a powerful way for our community to show appreciation for the men and women in uniform,” added Johnson.
