MIRAMAR, Fla. — Miramar police say they’ve identified a man seen in video footage stealing packages while dressed as a security guard.

The thefts were reported in the area of Southwest 62nd Avenue and Miramar Parkway.

Video even showed the suspect opening a box on camera, rummaging through its contents and leaving behind what he did not want.

A Miramar police spokesperson said the thief has been identified as Deangelo Randon Ash, 40.

The spokesperson said he’ll be facing a grand theft charge.

Ash did not appear in Broward jail records as of Wednesday morning.
