According to jail records obtained by Local 10 News on Tuesday, Kamari Kewon Gardner, 28, is facing one count of attempted murder.

The shooting happened at the Playhouse Gentlemen’s Club, located at 5775 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd., just before 1 a.m.

Deputies said they responded to the scene and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics took the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not released additional details about the victim’s condition.

Video shot by a Local 10 News crew showed evidence markers and crime scene tape in the club’s parking lot.

Gardner appeared in bond court on Tuesday, where prosecutors said the victim may be paralyzed.

Authorities have not confirmed whether Gardner knew the victim, and a motive for the shooting remains unclear.

Gardner was being held at the Broward Main Jail as of Tuesday afternoon.
