Sam Bennett’s Benny’s Buddies drops limited-edition merchandise to aid Humane Society of Broward

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Benny’s Buddies, the pet adoption program created by Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett and his wife, Zoe Bennett, is rolling out a pre-sale of exclusive merchandise.

The limited-edition Benny’s Buddies collection will be available for online pre-order from Tuesday through Feb. 6, with items beginning to ship on Feb. 13. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Humane Society of Broward County.

The collection features hats, a hoodie, bandanas, and T-shirts and comes in response to a spike in interest after Bennett wore a Benny’s Buddies hat during the Florida Panthers’ 2025 Stanley Cup championship parade, which brought national attention to the initiative.

Benny’s Buddies was founded with a simple mission: for every goal Bennett scores, he covers the adoption fee for a shelter pet, helping more animals find homes through the Humane Society of Broward County in Fort Lauderdale.

The shelter holds special meaning for the Bennetts, as it’s where they adopted their own dog, Billie.

“Benny’s Buddies is about using our platform to truly help animals in need,” said Sam Bennett in a news release obtained by Local 10 News. “The response has been overwhelming, and we’re excited to see that support lead to even more adoptions.”

Pre-order links can be found on Instagram at @bennysbuddies9, @humanebroward, and @sbennett_93, as well as on Facebook and on the shelter’s website at humanebroward.com.

Additional details about Benny’s Buddies and the merchandise pre-sale are available under the Adopt tab (Adoption Special) on the shelter’s website or via the pop-up link.
