MIAMI — A man was hospitalized Monday night following a shooting in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood.
According to police, the shooting occurred in the area of Northwest 69th Street and 15th Avenue.
The man was shot multiple times and was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. His condition has not been released.
A Local 10 News crew was at the scene shortly after 10 p.m. as police tape was stretched across the street, blocking off the entire intersection.
It appears detectives were focusing their attention on a specific business, but it’s unclear if that’s where the shooting took place.
Several investigators were on site, combing the scene, taking pictures and looking for any evidence that may be helpful in the case.
Details are sparse at this hour, but the violence has been unsettling for many people who live in the area.
