MIAMI SPRINGS, Fla. — Miami Springs police announced the arrest of a suspected mail thief.

In a post on social media, MSPD said a man accused of stealing mail in Westchester was apprehended after attempting the same crime in Miami Springs.

The suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Jael Miguel Burgos-Ortiz.

Investigators said Burgos-Ortiz was taken into custody without incident.

Authorities said Burgos-Ortiz was already out on probation when he committed these latest crimes.

He’s now facing charges of burglary, theft, drug possession and other fraud-related offenses.
