MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities responded to reports of a shooting in southwest Miami-Dade Wednesday evening.
The shooting was reported near Southwest 76th Street and Southwest 152nd Avenue in the Kendall West area.
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the victim was transported by ground to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital.
Sky 10 flew over the scene just after 5:30 p.m.where deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office were seen putting crime scene tape around the area, and shoes and clothing were scattered on the ground.
MDSO said due to the crime scene, Southwest 152nd Avenue was shut down between Southwest 74th Street and Southwest 84th Street. Motorists are advised to avoid the area, seek alternate routes, and expect delays.
No other details about the shooting were immediately released.
