MIAMI — Miami police are investigating a shooting that they said turned deadly on Friday evening.

Police said they responded to a shooting call around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Southwest Eighth Street and Southwest 63rd Court.

Authorities said they found a man with a gunshot wound who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Miami Police Department’s homicide detectives said they’re handling the investigation.

Authorities have not released the man’s age, identity, or details about the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
