Family skips out on $243 check at Weston restaurant, now sought by BSO

WESTON, Fla. — The Broward Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a family accused of dining and dashing in Weston.

It happened on Feb. 9 at approximately 7:18 p.m. at Pizza Lovers Bistro, located at 1691 Bonaventure Blvd.

Surveillance video shows the family finishing their meal and then leaving the restaurant without paying.

The restaurant says an older gentlemen that was with the group went to the restroom, came back, looked at the bill, and then walked out.

They said no one even tried to pay the bill, which was over $243.

Anyone with information is urged to call BSO Detective Nelson Prieto at 954-626-4008.
