HOMESTEAD, Fla. — A 59-year-old man is accused of repeatedly stalking and threatening his ex-wife in a series of incidents reported to the Homestead Police Department and the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

According to Michael Deardeuff’s arrest report, he and the victim were married for 15 years and are now divorced.

The victim reported multiple incidents to police dating back to 2022.

On Dec. 11, 2022, the victim told Homestead police that Deardeuff threatened to kill her, allegedly telling her, “If I can’t have you no one will,” and “I’ll kill you and your new boyfriend,” the report stated.

In another incident reported on June 29, 2025, the victim said Deardeuff, who is listed as homeless in his arrest report, followed her and confronted her at a gas station, according to investigators.

Homestead police said the victim provided video in which he is heard saying, “I followed you last week.”

In January, they said the victim reported additional encounters to MDSO, including one occasion when she said Deardeuff was standing near a lake in her community using binoculars and looking toward her home and vehicle.

She also reported he was outside her gated community on Jan. 13, investigators said.

On Jan. 29, authorities said the victim reported to Homestead police that Deardeuff came to her home, called her a “whore,” and told her that “regardless of where she parked her vehicle, he could always find it.”

Jail records show he is facing one count of aggravated stalking.

He did not appear on the Miami-Dade Corrections’ website as of Monday afternoon.
