MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Miami Gardens police are asking for the public’s help after a man was killed in a hit-and-run crash last week.
According to police, Robelto Antonio Osborne Jr., 33, was found dead in the roadway at Northwest 167th Street and 30th Avenue just before 7 a.m. on Feb. 23, after he had been struck by an unknown vehicle.
Police said the driver fled the scene.
“It’s hurtful. It’s very disappointing to know that someone would take someone’s life,” Osborne’s mother, Cynthia Bradley, said. “I think the amount of the force the detectives described to me – it sounds like the person driving had to know that they hit something with that amount of weight and force, and it hurts and it’s very disturbing that they didn’t stop.”
Anyone with information about the driver or vehicle involved is asked to call Detective H. Diaz at 305-474-1602. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
