Police arrested Maxime Nelson, 51, on Thursday in North Miami.

According to authorities, Nelson used a shovel to break the sign and security cameras outside of a hair salon located along the 12000 block of Northeast Sixth Avenue.

After Nelson damaged the sign, police said he then took the shovel to the owner’s vehicle, a 2019 Maserati Levante, shattering all the windows.

This was all captured on surveillance video and observed by a witness, police said.

Responding officers found Nelson a short distance away after canvassing the area, still holding the shovel and a gardening pick.

When they went to take him into custody, video shows Nelson violently resisting the officers.

During the scuffle, he bit one officer in the neck and another on the forearm, also kicking an officer in the chest, according to an arrest form.

The owner of the salon, Muriel Oliver, spoke to Local 10 News’ Rosh Lowe, who showed her the video of the arrest.

“Oh my God, that’s crazy,” Oliver said.

Police said the salon owner is also a victim in a previous case of aggravated battery involving Nelson.

“He pulled a knife on me, they arrested him for that,” she said. “After three weeks, he came back and broke my camera.”

Oliver said she has no idea why Nelson has been targeting her and her business.

“That guy is very dangerous,” she said. “For myself, I want to protect myself.”

After seeing the video, she said she wants Nelson to stay behind bars.

“I’m very scared,” she said.
