FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Newly-released body camera video shows the moments Fort Lauderdale police shot and killed a man on Valentine’s Day.
The shooting happened in the 900 block of Chateau Park Drive, in the city’s Lauderdale Manors neighborhood.
Police released video showing the shooting from three different angles.
They said Luis Felipe Londono Ospina, 43, began shooting at officers as they investigated an unrelated disturbance in the area.
Officers told him to drop the gun before firing back, killing him.
The three officers involved in the shooting are now placed on administrative leave while the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigates, per normal protocol.
