CORAL GABLES, Fla. — A woman is facing multiple charges after going on a shopping spree last week at the Shops at Merrick Park on another woman’s dime, authorities said.

According to an arrest report from the Coral Gables Police Department, Chyna Dubose Reid, 24, who is currently homeless, went to the Neiman Marcus store on Lorenzo Avenue last Tuesday and selected several items that totaled more than $21,000.

Police said Dubose Reid paid for the items using a driver’s license belonging to another woman who owns an account with the luxury department store.

The purchase was approved by the store, the report stated.

According to the report, a store employee later confirmed with the real account holder that the transaction was not authorized by her.

The victim told police that she did not know Dubose Reid.

Police said Neiman Marcus ultimately suffered the $21,376 loss.

According to the report, as detectives prepared to arrest Dubose Reid last Friday, they discovered that she was already incarcerated at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center for similar crimes in Miami-Dade County.

She now faces additional charges of second-degree grand theft, organized fraud and fraudulent use of an ID.

As of Monday afternoon, Dubose Reid was no longer appearing in the online jail database.
