Authorities said Brittney Cazeau, 33, is facing one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

Officers said they responded at about 6:38 a.m. Saturday and found an adult who had been stabbed.

The victim was taken to Broward Health Medical Center by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the incident appeared to stem from an altercation between Cazeau and another person who she knew.

A motive for the stabbing is unclear at this time.

Cazeau did not appear on the Broward Sheriff’s Office jail website as of Tuesday afternoon.
