Man accused of spitting on McDonald’s manager at Flagler Street location

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A 40-year-old man was arrested last Friday after he spat on a manager at a McDonald’s in Miami-Dade County, authorities said.

According to an arrest report from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened Friday afternoon at the McDonald’s location at 7993 W. Flagler St.

Deputies said Abraham David Estrada, who is currently homeless, entered the fast food restaurant at about 12:45 p.m., approached the counter while “irate” and then spat at the manager, Marta Perez.

Deputies said Estrada then left, but returned a short time later, jumped over the counter and spat on the manager’s chest area.

According to the report, he then began throwing cups by the drive-thru window.

He was taken into custody by an off-duty deputy as he was walking out of the restaurant, authorities said.

According to the report, as an investigator tried to read Estrada his Miranda rights as he sat in the backseat of a patrol car, he began to spit at the inside of the window.

He was arrested on a charge of burglary with assault or battery and was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

As of Monday afternoon, Estrada was being held at TGK with a bond listed as “to be set.”
