PINECREST, Fla. — Video obtained by Local 10 News shows bullets flying outside a Pinecrest strip club early Wednesday morning after authorities said the two men involved were ejected by management.
The shooting at Stir Crazy, located at 12425 S. Dixie Highway, prompted a rapid response from Pinecrest police, who arrived as multiple rounds were fired.
Police said some of the bullets struck walls and windows while the club was open with patrons inside.
They said the suspects fled in a vehicle but were quickly pursued.
Investigators confirmed that the getaway car eventually crashed into a Miami-Dade water and sewer pumping station after making a sharp turn, preventing further danger.
“Very lucky for our officer that if he would have rolled up about 10 seconds earlier, that might have been a shootout between the officer and these guys,” said Pinecrest Police Department Chief Jason Cohen.
Two people, identified by police as Jundy Rodriguez and Ricardo Hadam, were arrested.
Rodriguez is facing charges of shooting or throwing a deadly missile, disorderly conduct and contributing to the delinquency of a child. He is behind bars at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with bond listed as “to be set.”
Hadam’s charges and bond information were not immediately released.
Cohen warned that gunfire will not be tolerated in the area and urged people to resolve disputes without resorting to violence.
Officers said the quick response likely prevented a more deadly outcome.
