MIAMI — Two people who were riding a scooter in Miami were injured Thursday afternoon in a crash, police confirmed.
According to Miami police, the scooter was struck by a vehicle just before 1:30 p.m. in the area of Southwest 31st Avenue and 23rd Street.
Police said two males were riding the scooter and were transported by Miami Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. One suffered head injuries while the other sustained leg injuries in the crash.
Police confirmed that traffic is currently shut down at Southwest 31st Avenue between 22nd and 23rd Streets.
No other details about the crash were immediately released.
