NORTH MIAMI, Fla. — North Miami police are investigating the death of a man neighbors say was killed while fixing an SUV.
It happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Friday at a home in the 13300 block of Northwest 17th Avenue.
Video from the scene showed the man’s body near a GMC Yukon parked outside the house and a car jack near the SUV.
Two neighbors told Local 10 News that the SUV crushed the man. One of the neighbors said that the man was changing a tire on the rear driver’s side when the jack, which wasn’t stabilized, gave way and came down on his head.
That neighbor, who did not want to be identified, told Local 10 News that the victim was a friendly senior.
Police have not provided information about the incident as of late Friday afternoon.
