MIAMI — A construction worker died early Monday morning after falling from the Interstate 395 overpass in Miami, authorities confirmed.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident was reported at 3:56 a.m.

Troopers said the worker fell from the overpass and landed 20 feet below onto Biscayne Boulevard.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the accident will likely be led by the National Transportation Safety Board, troopers said.

No other details were immediately released.
