WILTON MANORS, Fla. — A man was arrested in Wilton Manors after police said he led them on a chase during an illegal street takeover.

Wilton Manors police said 31-year-old Shaquille Hammond fled from officers, driving into a gated park and trying to escape, before being taken into custody on Saturday.

Police said they found him in possession of an Adderall pill when he was taken into custody.

Hammond was also driving without a license and riding a stolen motorcycle from Maryland, according to police.

He now faces multiple charges, including grand theft, reckless driving, and fleeing and eluding law enforcement.

As of Monday night, Hammond remains behind bars at the Broward Main Jail on a bond of $20,000.
