Authorities respond to apartment fire in northwest Miami-Dade Fire rescue crews responded to an apartment fire early in northwest Miami-Dade early Thursday morning.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Fire rescue crews responded to an apartment fire in northwest Miami-Dade early Thursday morning.

Authorities said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units were dispatched to a one-story apartment building near the 15600 block of Northwest Second Avenue just after 5 a.m.

Crews arrived at the scene, where they found smoke and flames coming from one of the units.

Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines to extinguish the fire and checked adjacent apartments for any signs of the fire spreading, according to MDFR.

They said the fire was brought under control, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
