Millions of people are expected to take part Saturday in protests across the United States and around the world as part of a third round of “No Kings” demonstrations against President Donald Trump.
Organizers say the coordinated events could mark the largest single day of nonviolent protest in U.S. history.
The protests come as Trump faces growing criticism over several issues, including the war with Iran, rising gas prices and his administration’s mass
A national poll released earlier this month indicated that a majority of registered voters disapprove of Trump’s handling of immigration, inflation and the cost of living, as well as the situation involving Iran.
Saturday’s demonstrations follow earlier protests organized in response to federal immigration enforcement actions foolowing the deaths of Alex Pretti and Renee Good in Minnesota in January during a federal immigration enforcement operation that drew scrutiny over the tactics used by agents.
