Bill signed to rename Palm Beach airport after Donald Trump

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — One of South Florida’s international airports will soon be renamed after President Donald Trump.

On Monday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed HB 919, which is a bill that will change the name of Palm Beach International Airport.

Now, per the bill, the airport will be called “President Donald J. Trump International Airport.”

Trump’s son Eric posted about the renaming on social media, thanking DeSantis, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier and State Rep. Meg Weinberger, who sponsored the bill.

The Florida House of Representatives voted 81-30, while the Florida Senate voted 25-11, both along party lines, to pass the bill.

In order for the change to become official, it must be approved by the FAA.
