According to an arrest report, Tommy Larry Zachery, 59, was arrested Saturday on charges of petit theft, providing a false name after arrest, possession of a fraudulent admissions ticket, operating a business without a local business tax receipt and conducting business without a proper license.

Miami police said officers working at the music festival were approached by two victims Saturday who said that a Black male had sold them two counterfeit entrance wristbands to the event for $200 each.

They said they were turned away at the entrance due to the wristbands being counterfeit and provided officers with a picture and video of the transaction with Zachery taking place.

According to the report, a third victim approached officers a short time later and reported a similar incident involving the same suspect.

Miami police said an FIU police officer working the event spotted Zachery at Biscayne Boulevard and Southeast First Street and detained him.

Police said a “show up” was conducted with two of the victims, who identified Zachery as the man who had sold them the wristbands.

According to the report, Zachery admitted to selling the victims the wristbands, but claimed that he sold them for about $130 and was willing to return the money.

He also claimed to have been working with another man who provided him with the wristbands to sell, police said.

According to the report, when an officer asked for his name, Zachery provided two different false names.

“Further investigation, including fingerprint analysis, revealed his true identity,” the report stated.

As of Tuesday morning, Zachery was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $4,800 bond in connection with the Miami case, however online jail records show he is also being held without bond on a warrant for a separate case involving a reckless driving charge.
