MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A 28-year-old woman was arrested last week by Miami-Dade sheriff’s deputies after she attacked her ex-girlfriend with a knife – all over the last piece of a “mushroom chocolate,” authorities said.
According to an arrest report, the incident happened Feb. 26 in the 12300 block of Southwest 283rd Street, and the suspect, Keisha Dotson Dardy, was arrested last Thursday.
Deputies said Dardy and the victim are ex-girlfriends who have dated on and off for several years.
According to deputies, on the night of Feb. 26, the two women got into a “heated dispute” after Dardy accused the victim of eating the last mushroom chocolate.
The arrest report states that the verbal altercation quickly escalated when Dardy pulled out a knife and “made a stabbing motion towards the victim, causing her injury.”
Deputies said the victim sustained a laceration to the left side of her head from the attack and was transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to Jackson South Medical Center.
Authorities said Dardy fled the scene after 911 was called.
According to the report, Dardy was initially arrested Thursday on unrelated charges, but now faces charges of aggravated battery with a weapon.
A deputy noted in the arrest report that Dardy was “highly intoxicated and erratic” at the time of her arrest.
As of Monday morning, Dardy was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Online jail records show she also faces a charge of battery/domestic violence in a separate case and is being held without bond on a probation warrant for interference with custody and contributing to the delinquency of a child.
