According to police, officers responded to the area of the 1400 block of Kennedy Causeway in North Bay Village after a man later identified as Bryton Facen, 30, of Miami Gardens, was seen naked in the road.

When responding officers engaged with Facen, a scuffle broke out , leading to Facen “intentionally punching, kicking, biting and spitting” at the officers, according to an arrest form.

Police said they were forced to deploy a Taser, but when Facen continued to violently resist, officers simultaneously gained control of his arms and legs using multiple sets of handcuffs.

After officers placed Facen in the back of a squad car, police said Facen urinated on himself and “began spraying” the back of the police vehicle with his urine.

Police said medics eventually had to “subdue” Facen with ketamine.

Facen was ultimately taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for medical treatment and evaluation.

He was charged with four felony counts of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, four felony counts of resisting an officer with violence, and one misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure.

As of Wednesday morning, Facen was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a total bond of $23,003.
