Police chase with Kia Soul ends with Broward crash

LAUDERHILL, Fla. — A Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy was chasing a red Kia Soul in Broward County on Wednesday. Plantation police were also involved.

The suspect drove through construction zones, a school zone, and hit a barrier before spinning out and crashing at Northwest 31st Avenue and Second Street, on the border of Lauderhill and the Boulevard Gardens section of unincorporated central Broward.

The vehicle crashed into a concrete wall at a home at the corner of the intersection, on the Lauderhill side.

The residents of the home said they were OK.

Local 10 News is reaching out to law enforcement for additional information, including why authorities were pursuing the suspect.

Lauderhill police directed our request to the Plantation Police Department.
