FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Fort Lauderdale police are investigating after they said a woman was killed by a gunshot wound early Thursday morning.
Officers said they responded around 5:30 a.m. to a report of a possible suicide at a home near the 900 block of Northwest 11th Place, where they found a woman dead at the scene after suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
Initial findings indicated no foul play was suspected, but police said the case has since been reclassified as a “possible homicide” as more information is reviewed.
No other details about the victim or possible suspect or suspects were immediately released.
