DANIA BEACH, Fla. — Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a fatal shooting that they say occurred Friday night at a park in Dania Beach.
Authorities said deputies responded around 9:15 p.m. to reports of a shooting at CW Thomas Park, located near the 800 block of Northwest Second Street.
When they arrived, deputies said they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
They said Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Detectives with BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units remained at the scene late into the night as they continued to investigate.
No additional details about the shooting or the victim involved were immediately released.
