OAKLAND PARK, Fla. — The city of Oakland Park is mourning the loss of Battalion Chief Kevin Michael Fornash, authorities confirmed.
Fornash, a 28-year veteran of Oakland Park Fire Rescue, was known for his dedication and service to the community.
City officials confirmed that Fornash, 59, died Thursday after a “courageous” battle with cancer.
Details about his memorial service will be announced once arrangements are finalized.
