HOMESTEAD, Fla. — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a Missing Child Alert Friday morning for a 16-year-old boy from Homestead.
According to police, Deniro Venero was last seen Thursday in the 1200 block of Southeast 29th Street in Homestead.
He was wearing a navy sweatshirt, grey sweatpants and blue Crocs.
Detectives believe Deniro may have traveled to the Sweetwater area. Homestead police said the Sweetwater Police Department tried to locate him in the 700 block of Southwest 110th Avenue, where they thought he was, but could not find him.
According to authorities, Deniro was reported missing by his mother and has been diagnosed with “several mental health disorders and has had suicidal ideations.”
Deniro was described by police as a white, Hispanic male who is 6 feet tall and weighs about 220 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
