In the video, the suspect, Eduardo Rivero, is seen ramming a police car and then taking off in a vehicle with children inside.

The incident happened in October of last year.

Miami police said they noticed a driver in a car they had been searching for.

When police tried to pull him over, they noticed a woman and two children inside.

That’s when they say Rivero placed the car in reverse and intentionally rammed a detective in an unmarked police unit.

Police said Rivero then put the car in drive and hit two other police vehicles multiple times.

But when he couldn’t get the vehicle out of the area, he got out and started running, authorities said.

Police said when officers searched his car, they found two guns and a stolen license plate with Velcro on the back in order to quickly attach or remove it from different vehicles.

The video also shows the woman, who was in the car with her kids, talking to police.

Police said Rivero was identified as a sex offender and was already on probation until 2029 after being convicted of sexually battering a victim under the age of 12.

Because of that conviction, he’s not supposed to be within 1,000 feet of children.

Police said Rivero’s driver’s license had also been expired since 2023.

He faces numerous charges, including battery against a law enforcement officer and child abuse.
