A Miami Jackson Senior High School teacher is facing multiple sex-related charges involving a minor, according to jail records obtained by Local 10 News on Saturday.

MIAMI — A Miami Jackson Senior High School teacher is facing multiple sex-related charges involving a minor, according to jail records obtained by Local 10 News.

Records show Leroy Wright, 46, is facing one count each of offenses against students by authority figures, unlawful sexual activity with a specific minor and a charge related to obscene materials involving a minor.

The school, located at 1751 NW 36th St. in Miami’s Allapattah neighborhood, lists Wright as a teacher on its website as of Saturday morning.

Leroy Wright, who is facing multiple sex crimes involving at least one minor, is listed as a teacher on the website of Miami Jackson Senior High School.

Wright, who was arrested on Friday, is scheduled to appear before a judge Saturday morning.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools has been contacted for comment as investigators work to learn more about the circumstances leading to his arrest.

Local 10 has also requested his arrest report from local authorities.

As of Saturday morning, he was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where his bond was listed as “to be set.”
